Genus. 01/10/1921 in Chernigov; member of the CPSU(b). He went through the entire war as a soldier and was wounded. 5th year student at Leningrad State University. Arrested on December 4, 1948 in the Leningrad State University dormitory for “anti-Soviet agitation, slander against Michurin-Lysenkov biology and the collective farm system.” Sentenced by the Leningrad City Court under Art. 58-1, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 25 years of labor camp and 5 years of disqualification. Released early on January 12, 1956. Rehabilitated by the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the USSR on February 28, 1958. After his release, he graduated from Leningrad State University in absentia and graduate school at the Zoological Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
