Genus. in 1900 in Odessa; Russian; noblewoman; agronomist, writer, artist. In 1919, she fled with her family to Bessarabia - to the estate of her father, Anton Kersnovsky, where she graduated from high school and veterinary courses, and was engaged in agricultural activities on the estate. In 1940, she and her mother were evicted from their home with confiscation of property and refused to emigrate to Romania. She lived on odd jobs doing hard physical work, sometimes spending the night on the street, sometimes with friends. On 06/13/1941, NKVD officers came for her in her absence, and on 06/14/1941, not wanting to hide, she voluntarily appeared at the NKVD and, together with other arrested Bessarabians, went into exile in Siberia: Kharsk-Ust-Tyarm-Suiga (Molchanovsky district of the Tomsk region ). She worked in a logging camp. 02/26/1942 escaped from exile; detained on May 25, 1942 in the Krasnoozersky district of the Altai Territory; sentenced by the Narym District Court on February 24, 1943 under Art. 58-10 part 2, 82 part 2 to 10 years of labor camp and 5 years of disqualification. In the camps in the Tomsk region, she worked as a cooper, was engaged in burning in an art workshop, sewing and repairing soldiers’ hats, and grew vegetables in a subsidiary plot; in 1943 she was transferred to Novosibirsk, where she worked first on the construction of a military plant, then as a veterinarian on a pig farm; arrested on April 18, 1944, kept in an underground prison; sentenced by the Novosibirsk Regional Court in cases of ITLIK NKVD under Art. 58-10 to 10 years of labor camp and 5 years of deprivation of rights (unserved years of the previous sentence were absorbed by the new one); was serving in Norillag. After liberation in 1952, she lived in Norilsk, then in Essentuki. In 1964–1968 wrote memoirs in the margins of 680 drawings, which were distributed through samizdat and were published in 1990. She died in Essentuki on 03/08/1994. Rehabilitated in the 1942 case by the Supreme Court of the RSFSR on May 21, 1990.
