The story of Ivan Terentyevich Bocharnikov , recorded by Elegechev in 1974 in the village of Rassvet.
Bocharnikov was appointed senior commandant of the Chain commandant's office of the Narym special resettlement district, and was responsible for the resettlement of special settlers. The story describes the period from 1929 to 1931, how 40 thousand displaced people were taken under his control. Of these, 5 thousand people remained after the second winter.
He talks about how commandants and repeat offenders stole meager food supplies, about the inattention of the authorities to problems, etc.
