Berozashvili Mikhail Ivanovich
Genus. 12/29/1922 in Borjomi, Georgian SSR; Georgian; incomplete higher education; b/p. Officer, veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Entered the Leningrad Institute of Soviet Trade. Arrested 09/29/1949. Sentenced on July 22, 1950 by the Leningrad City Court under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in prison and 5 years of loss of rights. Released in 1955. Rehabilitated in the 1950 case by a ruling of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR dated October 21, 1965. In 1967 he published in samizdat “An Open Letter or Theses of Criticism of the Political Economy of Russian Socialism” (Leningrad), where, among other things, he argued that Soviet workers do not own the means of production. In 1969 he worked as a carpenter UNR-26 of trust 16. Lived in Leningrad. Prosecuted for producing and distributing works and statements “discrediting the Soviet state and social system”, charged under Art. 190-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. By the ruling of the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Leningrad City Court dated January 13, 1969, he was exempted from criminal liability for a socially dangerous act, “as committed in a state of insanity.”
