Kalnin Robert-Julius Robertovich
Born in 1902 in Riga; Latvian; higher education - graduated from the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1919-1937. Member of the Leningrad City Council, chief engineer and deputy head of the Leningrad Regional Communications Directorate. Lived in Leningrad, Lesnoy Ave., Bldg. 61, Apt. 135. Arrested on 07.12.1937 (according to other sources, on 11.12.1937). Sentenced to capital punishment by the NKVD and the USSR Prosecutor's Office Commission on 29.12.1937 under Article 58-6-7-9-11 of the RSFSR Criminal Code. Shot in Leningrad on 04.01.1938. Rehabilitated by the determination of the Supreme Commission of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on 24.11.1956.
On September 11, 2022, a personal memorial sign was installed at house No. 61 on Lesnoy Prospekt in St. Petersburg in memory of R.R. Kalnin as part of the Last Address project.
