Born in 1898 in the village of Kudara, Kabansky District, Buryatia. Before his arrest, he was an engineer and planner at the Mekhdor Park of the North Caucasus Defense Army of the Leningrad Military District in the city of Krasnogvardeysk (now Gatchina), Leningrad Region. Lived in Leningrad, Fontanka River Embankment, Building 129, Apt. 46. Arrested on October 7, 1937 in Leningrad. Sentenced on December 3, 1937 by the Commission of the NKVD and the USSR Prosecutor's Office under Article 58-6 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. He was executed on December 10, 1937. Rehabilitated on September 9, 1957.On March 22, 2015, a personal memorial sign was installed on house No. 129 on the Fontanka River embankment in memory of G.K. Novolodsky as part of the Last Address project.
