Born in 1897 in Glacken (Germany). German. 8th grade education. He was active in revolutionary activities in Germany, for which he was subjected to police persecution. In 1927 he was an active member of the Union of Red Sailors. In 1928 he became a member of the KKE. On January 26, 1931 he was imprisoned for investigation due to a clash with the Nazis. Released under amnesty. On July 15, 1931, he arrived by ship in Leningrad, where he remained to reside permanently. He worked as a machinist at the Kirov plant. Arrested on July 30, 1937, on charges of espionage. Sentenced to death by the NKVD commission and the USSR prosecutor on January 10, 1938. The sentence was carried out on January 15, 1938 in Leningrad. Rehabilitated by the Military Tribunal on October 28, 1963.
