The article is devoted to the life and work of Jadwiga Zaleskaya, a pianist and a prominent representative of the musical and cultural life of Tomsk in the late 19th century. Born to a Polish family, Zaleskaya received an excellent musical education in Warsaw and in 1888, together with her husband, Professor Stanislav Zalesky, moved to Siberia. In Tomsk, she played a key role in shaping the musical environment of the city: she performed at concerts, headed the local branch of the Russian Musical Society, and actively participated in public life. Her high professionalism, artistry, and social activity made her one of the most prominent figures in the cultural life of Tomsk in the late 19th century. After leaving Siberia, Zaleskaya continued her concert activity in Russia and abroad, winning recognition as one of the leading pianists of her time. Her fate after 1917 remains unknown.
