Sokolov Pavel Timofeevich
Professor of the Department of Theoretical Physics at Leningrad State University
Born in 1900 in Nikopol, Dnepropetrovsk region. Professor of the Department of Theoretical Physics at Leningrad State University. Lived in Leningrad, K. Liebknecht Ave., Building 10, Apt. 15. Arrested on 10/21/1936. Sentenced 23.05.1937 By a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR under Article 58-6-7-8-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. He was executed on the same day in Leningrad. Rehabilitated by the decision of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR dated 03.12.1957.
On February 26, 2016, a personal memorial sign was installed on the building at 10 Bolshoy Prospekt P.S. (formerly Karl Liebknecht Ave.) in St. Petersburg in memory of P.T. Sokolov as part of the Last Address project.
