She was arrested on August 26, 1936, and sent to prison in Novosibirsk. The charges were fabricated around her older brother Pavel, an engineer who was named the founder of a terrorist organization. The investigation designated Anastasia as his "accomplice." However, her brother was not arrested. She served her sentence in a camp in Krasnoyarsk Krai where prisoners were engaged in agricultural work. After completing her term, she was not released from the camp until special orders. After the camp, there followed exile to the same Krasnoyarsk region.

After the end of her exile in 1944, she returned to her mother and sisters in Barabinsk, where she gave birth to her daughter Natalia.
