Born in 1924 in Calcutta, India; English national. Translator, TASS journalist. Arrested on 25.02.1951 in Moscow. Sentenced on 06.10.1952 by the Special Special Purpose Penal Colony under Art. 58-10, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (treason, espionage, anti-Soviet agitation) to 10 years in a labor camp. While imprisoned, he worked in the medical unit at the main camp point No. 3 "Kodino" of Kargopollag. Released in 1954.   Rehabilitated on November 3, 1956. Died on October 30, 1995 in Moscow.
