Tyrul Alfred Yurievich
Born in 1899 in the Slavik estate, Volmarsky district, Livonia province; Latvian (according to other sources, Swedish); incomplete higher education, construction technician; no record. From 1917 to 1924 and from 1928 to 1930 he served in the Red Army. In 1932 he was arrested by the NKVD, sentenced under Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (abuse of office, embezzlement) to 8 years in a labor camp. Imprisoned in Bamlag. Released early in 1937. Worked as the head of the second construction site of the Remstroykontora, Frunzensky district, Leningrad. Lived in Leningrad, at 23 Zagorodny Prospekt, Apt. 19. From June 1942 - commander of the 47th Guards Separate Sapper Battalion, military engineer of the 3rd rank. Arrested on March 22, 1943. Sentenced on July 17, 1943 by the Military Tribunal of the NKVD Troops of the Leningrad District and the Rear Guard of the Leningrad Front on charges of creating a counter-revolutionary insurgent group, Art. 18-58.2, 58-3, 58-10 part 2, 58-11 and 72 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot on October 11, 1943 in Moscow. Rehabilitated by the Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District on February 20, 1957.
On 04/07/2019, a personal memorial sign was installed at house No. 23 on Zagorodny Prospekt in St. Petersburg in memory of Tyrul A.Yu. as part of the Last Address project.
