Resident of the village Kipritsy of Chistikovsky village, Babaevsky district, Leningrad region. Participant and disabled person of the First World War. Father of six children. In 1930 he joined the collective farm, but was expelled due to incapacity. Taxed as a sole proprietor. Arrested in 1932 for tax evasion. Placed in the Leningrad prison "Kresty".
