Genus. in 1901 in the village Rassilo, Ruokolahti district, Vyborg province, Finn, from a farm laborer's family. Member of the Finnish Communist Party since 1922. to 1924, from 1926 - member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Commander of a tank battalion. Arrested on February 16, 1938. Convicted by the NKVD OSO to 10 years in labor camp. Died in custody in Kolyma in 1939. Rehabilitated posthumously in 1956.Died in prison (Magadan) 02/13/1939.
