Levanda Georgy (Yuri) Ivanovich
Born 12.07.1910 in Menzelinsk, Ufa Governorate ; Russian; incomplete higher education. Engineer, worked at the Kirov Plant. Lived in Leningrad, M. Posadskaya St., Building 19, Apt. 6. Arrested on November 5, 1935. Sentenced by the Special Collegium of the Leningrad Regional Court on February 4, 1936 under Article 58-10, Part 1, 58-11 to 10 years in a labor camp. Imprisoned in Sevvostlag. Died in prison in the village of Sporny, Yagodinsky District, Magadan Region, on July 14, 1940 from electric shock. Rehabilitated on November 27, 1959 by the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR and the USSR Prosecutor's Office on April 17, 1991.
On 06.01.2017, a personal memorial sign was installed on house No. 19 on Malaya Posadskaya Street in St. Petersburg in memory of G.I. Levand as part of the "Last Address" project.
