Genus. in 1910 in the city of Kirsanovo, Tambov province. Having moved to Leningrad in 1935. He graduated with honors from the Polytechnic Institute and began working at the Pyrometer plant under the guidance of the famous professor G.P. Kulbush. In 1937 was the head of the laboratory, developing new aviation instruments for the defense industry. After the arrest of Professor Kulbush, Lifshits was dismissed from his job and arrested on October 14, 1937. For two years, from 1937 to 1939, they tried to declare him an Anglo-Swedish spy and accuse him of sabotage. Despite torture, he refused to sign interrogation reports. 10/18/1939. released from prison “due to lack of evidence of a crime.” Died in 1990
