Lomtev Vasily Mikhailovich

Born July 24, 1895 in the village of Ornenskoye, Onega District, Arkhangelsk Province, Russian; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1921-1937. From September 1923 to November 1930 he worked in the party in the Vyborg District Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Leningrad, from 1930 to 1932 he was the head of the Organizational Department, Deputy Chairman of the Leningrad Regional Control Commission of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Inspectorate, from June 1932 he was the secretary of the Leningrad Regional Executive Committee, and from August 1936 he was the first secretary of the Vsevolozhsk District Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). He lived in Leningrad (4 Dzerzhinsky St., Apt. 37). He was arrested on July 26, 1937. He was involved in the case of an anti-Soviet right-wing organization. Sentenced on 29.11.1937 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR (visiting session in Leningrad) under Article 58-8-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Executed on 29.11.1937. Posthumously rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 09.05.1956.
