Otselin (Strauman) Nikolai Petrovich
Born in 1898, Leovo, Bessarabian province; Higher education - Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute. Member of the communist underground in Bessarabia in 1918-1920, sentenced by the Romanian authorities to 20 years of hard labor. In June 1920 he escaped from prison to the territory of the USSR. Head of the heating sector of the design department of Energostroy. Lived in Leningrad, st. Pesochnaya, 5, apt. 6. Arrested 02/27/1938. Sentenced by OS NKVD of the USSR on 02/05/1940 under Art. 58-6 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years in labor camp. In conclusion - in OKB-172. Released on September 26, 1946 due to his term. After his release he worked as a deputy. group leader at OKB-172 (1946-1948), special teacher. disciplines at the Mining and Ceramic College in Borovichi, Novgorod region (1948-1949). Arrested on January 29, 1949. Sentenced to OS under the USSR MGB on April 13, 1949 under Art. 58-1a of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR for indefinite exile to the Udereisky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Released in 1954. Rehabilitated by the Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District on July 23, 1956.
