Genus. in 1892 p. Sadovoye, Kherson district, Kherson province. in the family of a priest. In 1912 he graduated from the Odessa Theological Seminary, in 1917 - the Petrograd Theological Academy. Since 1922 - Bishop of Kherson, since 1924 - Bishop of Mariupol. In 1924 he was arrested and exiled to Kharkov. Arrested in September 1926, transported to Moscow, placed in Butyrka prison. Sentenced to 3 years in prison in the Solovetsky special purpose camp. In the camp he was again convicted and sent into exile. He served 3 years in exile in Yeniseisk. Since 1933 - Bishop of Belgorod. Arrested 02/25/1935. Sentenced on September 11, 1935 by a special panel of the regional court to 10 years in prison. In February 1938, a new case was launched; he was accused of leading a counter-revolutionary group. Sentenced to VMN by the NKVD Troika on March 17, 1938. Shot on June 1, 1938 in Blagoveshchensk.
