Born in 1912 in Derbent, Dagestan; incomplete higher education. Journalist. Worked as a literary contributor to the Leningrad newspaper "Polyarnaya Magistral" of the Kirov Railway and to the Leningrad Regional Radio Committee. Arrested in Leningrad on 17.02.1936 on charges under Article 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Sentenced by the Leningrad Military District Military Tribunal on 19-20.10.1936 to 3 years in a correctional labor camp. Held in the Lodeynoye Pole branch of Svirlag from November 1936. Released in the summer of 1938. Rehabilitated on 15.05.1958 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR.
