Born 11/19/1896 in the village of Kaydenovo, Moscow province, in the family of a handicraftsman. Graduated from a real school. In 1916-1920 served as a census taker in the old and red armies. In 1914-1916 and 1921-1925 student at the Petrograd Institute of Transport Engineers. He worked in land reclamation and road construction. In 1930 foreman at the Murmansk railway hotel in the Petrozavodsk region. In 1930 accepted as an external student at LGTI. He dropped out of the institute in 1932. Before his arrest, he was an engineer at the People's Commissariat of Agriculture of Karelia. Arrested 03/11/1938. Sentenced by the Troyoka NKVD of the KASSR on April 11, 1938 under article No. 58-7,10,11 to 8 years in a labor camp.
