Born in 1927 in Leningrad. After his father's arrest in 1942, the family was sent to a special settlement in Krasnoyarsk Krai. In 1949, he became a student at the Leningrad Industrial Technical School. Arrested on 13.05.1949. Sentenced on 16.12.1949 by the Special Specialized Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to 20 years in a labor camp. Released by order of the Special Specialized Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on 21.04.1950, he was sent into exile in the city of Yeniseisk. Rehabilitated by the Leningrad City Court on 20.07.1990.
