Genus. 01/08/1879 (12/27/1878 old style) in the city of Vileika, Vilna province; Belarusian; from peasants; secondary education (according to other sources, higher); member of the Socialist Revolutionary Party (Trudovik) in 1905–1914; since 1926 member of the Belarusian Peasant and Workers' Community (BCRG); since 1932 member of the Communist Party of Western Belarus. He studied at the training courses for folk teachers at the Shvyanchensky (Sventsyansky) city school (1900), then at the preparatory courses at the Molodechno Teachers' Seminary. He taught in the Vilnius region. For polit. unreliability disqualified from teaching. Worked as an insurance agent. In 1916–1917, due to military mobilization, he served in Minsk. Since the end of 1917, mayor of Vileika, since February 1918, chairman of the city council; during the German occupation he was elected mayor. In the 1920s he was repeatedly arrested by the Polish authorities. In 1926–1927, a member of the Vileika organization of the BKRG, until 1928, chairman of the district government of the Belarusian School Association. In 1928 and 1930 he was elected as a deputy of the Polish Sejm from Western Belarus, and was a member of the Belarusian embassy club “Zmaganne”. Arrested on August 30, 1930, sentenced to 16 years of hard labor. In the USSR from September 15, 1932 on the exchange of political prisoners with Poland. Lived with his family in Minsk (Hotel "Europe", No. 35). Before the arrest, the Acting People's Commissar of Public Utilities of the BSSR. Arrested on August 31, 1933 as “a member of the Belarusian National Center.” By resolution of the OGPU Collegium dated January 9, 1934, he was sentenced under Art. 58-4, 6, 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to death with replacement by 10 years of labor camp. In custody in Solovki, he was kept on business trips in Filimonovo and Novaya Sosnovaya. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 3, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on August 16, 1956 by the ruling of the Military Tribunal of the Belarusian Military District
