Since 1920 - Bishop of Mamadysh, vicar of the Kazan diocese; from 1922 - Bishop of Chistopol. Arrested 18(19?).11.1925. Sentenced on May 21, 1926 to three years of exile in the Zyryansky region. In 1926-1929. in exile in the village of Turukhansk, Yenisei province. In 1929-1931 in exile in the village of Kozmodemyansk, Mari Autonomous Okrug. Arrested in the summer of 1931. Sentenced on January 5, 1932 to 3 years in labor camp. He served his sentence in a camp near Kemerovo. In 1934, the period was increased by 2 years. In 1936 he was released from the camp. In 1936-1937 lived in Kazan, st. Tikhomirova, 31, apt. 1. Arrested on October 16, 1937 “for active work in creating the anti-Soviet Kirillov church underground, discredited the Stalinist constitution, and propagated fascist ideas.” By the decision of the Meeting of the Troika under the NKVD of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic dated November 29, 1937, he was sentenced to VMN with confiscation of his property. Shot on December 2, 1937. Rehabilitated on January 16, 1989.
