Genus. 1901 in St. Petersburg. He graduated from the Petrograd Mining Institute (PGI), then transferred to the paleontology department of Petrograd University. In 1922 married Nalivkina E.V. Since 1923 worked at PGI-LGI as a teacher, assistant, associate professor of the department of paleontology. In 1934 published a "Palaeontological Guide". Arrested on October 22, 1937. Sentenced by the visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in Leningrad on February 18, 1938 to VMN (accused of participating in the criminal organization LGI). Shot on the same day. Burial place - Leningrad. (according to another version, he died of pneumonia while transporting prisoners to the Karelian Front). Rehabilitated on January 10, 1957.
