Genus. 04/17/1902 in St. Petersburg, in the family of the director of the Alexandrinsky Theater. Member of the RCP(b) since 1920. He graduated from three courses at the Military Medical Academy and was sent to teach at the Artillery School. Since 1926, he taught a course on historical materialism at Leningrad University. In 1928 he was expelled from the party for “active counter-revolutionary activities.” Arrested on 02/24/1929 on charges that “he was a member of the underground anti-Soviet organization of Trotskyists and was actively working as the organizer and leader of the political center of the entire Leningrad underground organization of Trotskyists.” Sentenced by a resolution of the Special Meeting of the Kogpu dated April 15, 1929 under Article 58-11 to 3 years in prison. Released on parole on August 23, 1929. In 1930, after submitting an application to renounce Trotskyism, he was reinstated in the CPSU(b). From 1931 he was an employee of the department of physics methodology at the Physico-Technical Institute and at the same time, until 1934, a professor in the philosophy course at the Leningrad Physico-Mechanical Institute, head of classes on historical materialism with university teachers. Arrested for the second time on January 3, 1935, on charges of belonging to a counter-revolutionary organization. Sentenced by a resolution of the Special Meeting of the NKVD of the USSR dated February 10, 1935 under Article 58-11 to 5 years in prison. In custody in Ukhtpechlag (Chibyu village), on June 21, 1936 he was transferred to Leningrad. Accused of being “a member of the Trotskyist-Zinovievist terrorist organization, which committed the villainous murder of S.M. Kirov on December 1, 1934, preparing, with the help of agents of the fascist German secret police (Gestapo), a number of terrorist acts against the leaders of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the Soviet government, and also took personal part in preparing the assassination attempt on Comrade. Stalin." Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on October 11, 1936 under Art. 58-8.11 to VMN. Shot on October 11, 1936. Rehabilitated by the resolution of the Supreme Court of the USSR Supreme Court dated May 28, 1957 (in the 1936 case), and by the resolution of the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court dated March 27, 1959 (in the 1935 case).
