Born in 1893 at Landvarovo station, Troksky district, Vilnius province; Jewish; from the bourgeoisie; no name; higher education - graduated from the St. Petersburg Commercial School in Lesnoy in 1911 and the Polytechnic Institute in 1922. Senior engineer at Teploelektroproekt. Lived in Leningrad, Divenskaya st., bldg. 8/5, apt. 21. Arrested on 28.08.1940, charged under Art. 58-1 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Sentenced on 23.01.1941 by the judicial collegium for criminal cases of the Leningrad City Court to 8 years' imprisonment with disqualification for 3 years. Released on 28.08.1948. The conviction was expunged by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR on 22.03.1955. Rehabilitated on 20.05.1993 by the Prosecutor's Office of St. Petersburg.
