Andreev Alexey Alekseevich

Born in 1882 in Cherepovets, Novgorod province; Russian; from the nobility; no military background; staff captain in the tsarist army. In 1902-1905 - a student in the civil engineering department of the Warsaw Polytechnic Institute. From 1906 a student at the St. Petersburg Institute of Railway Engineers, graduated in 1911. Engineer in port services on the Baltic Sea. From 1914 - ensign in the active army. In 1918-1919 - designer of port facilities. From 1919 in the Red Army for the restoration of railways, highways and waterways. From 1922 - engineer in the committee for the study of the ice regime. In 1923-1928 - in the Port Authority, foreman. Simultaneously, from 1925, an assistant in the department of port facilities. From 1930, concurrently an associate professor at LGTI. Arrested on 20 November 1930 on charges of sabotage in a commercial port. Dismissed from the institute, released on recognizance not to leave on 30 May 1931, and closed by order of the OGPU on 26 July 1931. Head of the design department at Giprovodtrans. Lived in Leningrad (25 Oktyabrya Ave., Bldg. 54, Apt. 66). Arrested again on 23 March 1935 as a "socially dangerous element". Sentenced to deprivation of the right to reside in 15 largest cities. Lived in Astrakhan. Arrested on 17 January 1938 on charges of belonging to a sabotage and wrecking organization. Sentenced to capital punishment by the Visiting Session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR in Stalingrad on 17 January 1938. Executed on 17 January 1938.
