Since 1916 - employee of the laboratory of aeronautical engines at the PPI. From 1918 - in the Technical Directorate of the Air Force in Moscow. From 1922 - at the Ikar aircraft engine plant, head of the development department. Since 1925 - Head of the Experimental Engine Building Department of the Central Design Bureau of Aviatrest. Head of the development of the first Soviet aircraft engines based on foreign models, then the developer of a number of new serial aircraft engines. Arrested in Moscow on December 7, 1929. Sentenced on March 18, 1931 by the OGPU board under Art. Art. 58-7 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code to 3 years in prison. Since 1930, he worked as an aircraft engine designer in the technical department of the prison OKB (Central Institute of Aviation Engine Engineering).
