Genus. in 1886 (according to other data in 1887). In 1911 he graduated from the Kazan Theological Academy. Since 1923 - Bishop of Ivanovo-Voznesensky. In February-August 1924 he was under arrest. Arrested on September 8, 1926 in Ivanovo-Voznesensk, he was kept in Moscow in the Butyrka prison. Sentenced to 3 years of exile in Central Asia, he served in the city of Khojent, then in the city of Pejikent, where he remained until 1930. From 1929 - Bishop of Alma-Ata, from 1930 - Bishop of Syzran. Arrested on February 21, 1931 in Syzran. Sentenced by a Special Meeting at the OGPU Board on October 28, 1931 to 3 years in a concentration camp under Art. Art. 58-10 and 58-11. He served his sentence in Svirlag. Since 1934 - Bishop of Kaluga and Borovsk. In 1936 he was elevated to the rank of archbishop. Arrested on September 20, 1937 in Kaluga. Sentenced by a troika of the USSR NKVD Tula Region. 11/19/1937 to VMN under Art. 58-10. Shot on November 23, 1937. In the 1931 case, he was rehabilitated by the Kuibyshev Regional Prosecutor's Office on October 24, 1989.
