Belykh Grigory Georgievich
Russian Soviet writer, co-author of the book “Republic of Shkid”
Genus. in 1906 in St. Petersburg. After the revolution, as a street child, he was sent to the Shkid children's colony (Dostoevsky School of Social-Individual Education). There he became friends with L. Panteleev. After graduating from school (around 1924), both lived in Leningrad, became journalists and, on the initiative and with the assistance of S. Marshak, wrote a joint book. Arrested. Convicted by the Leningrad Regional Court on February 25, 1936 under Art. 58-10, part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Died in prison from tuberculosis on August 14, 1938. Rehabilitated by a resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR on March 26, 1957.
11/12/2023 at house No. 7 Izmailovsky Avenue of St. Petersburg in memory of G.G. Belykh. A personal memorial sign was installed as part of the "Last Address" project.
