Arrested on December 26, 1937. by the NKVD authorities in the Leningrad region, was detained in general prison No. 3 in Kronstadt, accused under Art. 58-1 "b", 58-10, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR - as "a participant in an anti-Soviet military conspiracy, anti-Soviet agitation and counter-revolutionary activity." The case was closed on 05/09/1940. by the Navy prosecutor due to insufficient evidence. Released from custody on May 28, 1940.
