Born in 1919 in Mustvee, Jõgeva region, Estonia. Art. clerk of the combat department of the headquarters of the 22nd territorial Estonian rifle corps. Arrested on June 14, 1941, sentenced on July 4, 1942 to 10 years in labor camp followed by loss of rights. He served his sentence until June 14, 1951 in the North (Norilsk, etc.). After his release, he was sent into exile in Kazakhstan. Rehabilitated in 1957
