Born in 1903, Tirzensky volost, Valka district, Livonia province; Latvian; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1919-1937; 3rd-year student of the engineering and command faculty of the Artillery Academy of the Red Army, captain. Lived in Leningrad (Artilleriyskaya St., bldg. 1, apt. 39. Arrested on December 11, 1937. Sentenced: By the Commission of the NKVD and the Prosecutor's Office of the USSR on January 17, 1938, under: Art. 58-6 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Sentence: capital punishment. Shot on January 22, 1938. Place of burial: Leningrad.
