Breiterman Georgy (Yuri) Alexandrovich
Design engineer
Born July 15, 1909 in St. Petersburg. From 1925 a student of the electromechanical faculty of LPI. In 1930 he graduated from the institute with a degree in "High Voltage". He worked as a design engineer at the Elektroapparat plant. Concurrently, since 1931, he was an assistant at the LGTI in the electrical engineering department. In 1935, he was in England on a business trip from the People's Commissariat of Heavy Industry. Then he was invited to the apparatus engineering department of the LII and to the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute. Before his arrest, he was a teacher of the general electrical engineering department at the LII. He lived in Leningrad (Lakhtinskaya St., Bldg. 30, Apt. 15). Arrested November 2, 1937. He was accused of being a member of a counterrevolutionary sabotage and wrecking organization at the Elektroapparat plant. Sentenced by the resolution of the NKVD Commission and the USSR Prosecutor on 22.11.1937 under Articles 58-1, 7, 9, 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot in Leningrad on 24.11.1937. Rehabilitated on 24.11.1956.
