Genus. in 1892 in the village of Poznyakovo, Mikhalovskaya parish. Lyutsinsky u. Vitebsk province, from peasants, Latvian, member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1919-1929, mechanic at the Northern Shipyard, lived: Leningrad, st. Plekhanova, 33, apt. 45. Arrested 02/04/1935. At a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR on February 5, 1935, he was sentenced to 3 years of exile for “assisting the counter-revolutionary Zinoviev group.” He served his sentence in the city of Yeniseisk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, and worked as a loader at the Shipping Company. Arrested for the second time on August 6, 1936. At a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR on October 15, 1936, he was sentenced to 5 years in labor camp for “anti-Soviet agitation.” He served his sentence in Sevvostlag (Kolyma). On October 17, 1937, the UNKVD troika for Dalstroy sentenced him to capital punishment for “counter-revolutionary Trotskyist activities.” Shot on December 28, 1937. Rehabilitated posthumously by the Magadan Regional Court on March 19, 1959.
