Genus. 09/20/1898 in the city of Opochka, Pskov province; Russian; from the nobles; higher education (according to other sources, incomplete higher education), chemist (according to other sources, physicist) and philosopher; member of the Left Social Revolutionary Party in 1916–1918, member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1918–1936. At the beginning of the 1930s in Moscow: associate professor of the 2nd Moscow State University, researcher at the Institute of Scientific Philosophy of the Coma Academy, employee at the Military Academy (philosophy, methodology of natural science). Since 1933 deputy Director and Professor of the Leningrad Institute of Physics and Technology (LPTI), Head. Department of the Institute of History of Science and Technology of the USSR Academy of Sciences, head. Department of Diamat and Historical Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering and Economics, Industrial Institute (LII). Author and editor of books on the history of science and philosophy. Lived in Leningrad (Lesnoy pr., 61, apt. 10; according to other sources, Yashumov per., 22, apt. 35). Arrested on May 30, 1936, accused of participating in the “K/R Trotskyist-Zinoviev organization in the Leningrad Region of the USSR Academy of Sciences.” Sentenced on December 23, 1936 by a visiting session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR under Art. 17-58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in prison with disqualification for 5 years and confiscation of property. In custody in Solovetsky prison. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10.10.1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 4, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated on July 14, 1956 by the ruling of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR
