Genus. in 1885 in Elisavetgrad. In 1912 he graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of St. Petersburg University, and in 1916 from the Petrograd Theological Academy. From 1926 - Bishop of Masala, from 1929 - Bishop of Bugulma, from 1930 - Bishop of Alma-Ata.Arrested on December 10, 1932 in Alma-Ata. Accused of participating in a counter-revolutionary organization of churchmen. On June 25, 1933, a troika at the plenipotentiary representative office of the OGPU in Kazakhstan sentenced him to 8 years in prison. He served his sentence in Karlag. In 1937 he was again sentenced to a camp. Sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of statements “discrediting Soviet construction and insulting party leaders.” He died on 05/24/1942 from a heart attack in a hospital on a business trip (department) “Akmola” of Karlag.
