Genus. in 1869 in the city of Luga, St. Petersburg province. In 1894 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Theological Academy. Since 1910 - Bishop of Ostrog, vicar of the Volyn diocese. In 1915-1922 occupied vicar and diocesan chairs. Since 1924 - Archbishop of Kingisepp, vicar of the Leningrad diocese. Lived in Leningrad, Ropshinskaya str., 30, apt. 11. Arrested 04/19/1927. By a resolution of the OGPU PP in the Leningrad Military District on November 18, 1927, the case was dismissed for lack of proof of the accusation. In 1927-1928 - Archbishop of Polotsk and Vitebsk. Arrested 02/17/1932. Sentenced by the Kogpu on March 22, 1932 to 5 years in a labor camp under Art. 58-10. Released in 1937, he settled in the city of Borovichi. Arrested 09/09/1937. Sentenced by a special troika under the NKVD in the Leningrad region. 12/10/1937 (protocol No. 226) to the VMN under Art. 58-10, 11. Shot on December 17, 1937. Burial place - Borovichi. Rehabilitated 03/26/1958. In the 1932 case, he was rehabilitated on April 28, 1989.
