Ahonen Heiki Hugovich

Born in 1956 in Pärnu, ESSR, Estonian; secondary education; surveyor, chimney sweep at the Voluntary Fire Union. Lived in Tallinn. Arrested on April 13, 1983. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the ESSR on December 13-16, 1983, under Article 68 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the ESSR for “anti-Soviet agitation” to 5 years of labor camp and 2 years of exile. He served his sentence in the Perm camps. He served his sentence in the Perm political camps ("Perm-35", "Perm-37") from 02/24/1984 to 01/18/1987. Released on 02/05/1987 by Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces dated 02/02/1987. In January 1987 he became one of the founders of the Estonian Independence Party. He lived in Sweden, Germany and the Czech Republic, and returned to Estonia in 1998. Rehabilitated 02/19/1990. Awarded by the Estonian state. awards: Order of the State Emblem, IV degree (2000) and Order of the White Star, III degree; Latvian Order of Three Stars, IV degree. Since 2003 - Director of the Museum of Occupation (Tallinn).
