Sentenced by the Vladimir Regional Court on October 14, 1983 under Article 70 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 7 years in prison and 5 years in exile. He served his sentence in Vladimir prison, Perm camps (Perm-37) and Chistopol prison. Released on February 20, 1987 due to pardon. After his release, he immigrated to Israel. Rehabilitated on September 17, 1992 by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.
