Genus. in 1934 in Odessa. In the early 1950s, she moved with her mother from Odessa to Moscow. In 1955 she began studying at an institute in Moscow. At the 1957 World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow, she met with the Israeli delegation and submitted her article to Israel for publication. She began to participate in illegal Zionist activities. Arrested on April 25, 1958. She spent 10 months in prison in Lubyanka. Convicted on March 31, 1959 for anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda to 2 years in a penal colony. Until 1961, she was in a camp in Taishet and in a Taishet prison. Returning from prison, she continued contacts with the Israeli embassy and the distribution of Zionist literature. At the end of 1968, she submitted documents to leave for Israel, but in 1969 she was refused. In 1969, she sent an open letter to the Prime Minister of the USSR demanding permission to leave Jews from the USSR. A copy was sent to Israel, where Golda Meir read it in the Knesset along with a letter from 18 Georgian Jews. She transmitted letters from other Jews from the USSR to Israel and organized collective letters of protest. The USSR authorities were forced to release her from the country. She immigrated to Israel in 1970 and lives in Jerusalem.
