Genus. in 1924 Graduated with honors from the Faculty of History of Kyiv University in 1948. He worked at the Institute of Archeology of the Ukrainian SSR Academy of Sciences. In 1955 he defended his thesis on the topic “Roman coin on the territory of Ukraine.” In 1968 signed among 138 representatives of the Ukrainian intelligentsia against the political processes in Ukraine and the USSR. Dismissed in mid-September 1972. for nationalist and anti-Soviet sentiments attributed to him. In 1989 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Eastern Slavs of the 1st thousand AD.” e." Main works: "When and how Kiev arose" (1963), "At the origins of Slavic statehood" (1964), "The Origin of Russia" (1968), "The Establishment of Christianity in Russia" (1988), "Synopsis of the History of Ukraine "(1998), "The Origin of Slavic Writing" (1998), "Annexation or Reunification?
