Vandakurov Yury Petrovich

Genus. in 1933 in the city of Dzhambul, Kazakh SSR; Russian. He worked as a controller at the Hammer and Sickle plant. Lived in Kharkov, student at Kharkov University. Arrested 02/13/1957. Sentenced by the ACS of the Kharkov Regional Court on April 24, 1957 under Art. 54-10 part 1, 54-11 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR (according to other sources, also 16-54-3) to 10 years of labor camp. 03/30/1959 sent to Mordovia, l/o No. 7. Escaped, detained on May 15, 1959 in Tashkent. For escape, the sentence was increased by 3 years in labor camp. Kept in Mordovia, special. l/o No. 10. For organizing a mass hunger strike and distributing leaflets, he was sentenced by the Supreme Court of the MASSR on 07/08/1963 under Art. 70 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 4 years in prison. He served his term in Vladimir prison, then returned to Mordovia. After his release, on May 28, 1973, he returned to Kharkov, where he lived for 2 years under KGB supervision.
Rehabilitated 03/04/1992.
