Genus. in 1930 He worked on a collective farm as a blacksmith. Lived in the village. Tusmenitsy, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukrainian SSR. Arrested in December 1967 for protesting against the destruction of the church in the village. Convicted in 1968 to 7 years of strict regime labor camp and 3 years of exile under Art. 62 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR. He served a prison term in Mordovian camps, from 1972. - in l / o 36. Participated in a mass hunger strike in the fall of 1973. After his release in 1975. sent into exile in the Tomsk region. In 1977 a new criminal case has been initiated. He sought the right to leave the USSR.
