Arrested on June 10, 1969 for samizdat, participation in the organization "Union of Struggle for Political Freedom" and publishing the newspaper "Democrat".
The VT of the Baltic Fleet was sentenced on 03/07/1970 under Article 68 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the ESSR, 70 of the Criminal Code of the ESSR to 6 years in a penal colony. He served his sentence in Dubravlaga and Perm camps. By Decree of the PVS of the USSR dated June 17, 1974. pardoned Released 07/02/1974
