Arrested on 07/13/1983 for "anti-Soviet agitation". Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the GSSR on February 20, 1984 under article 71 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the GSSR for participation in the "National Liberation Organization of Georgia" to 4 years in a penal colony. Imprisoned in Perm camps. Released on March 18, 1987 by pardon.
