Genus. in 1935 in Kremenchug, Poltava region, higher education - Kharkov Law University, lawyer, legal consultant at Sovtransstroy (Leningrad). In 1958-1963. - Investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of the UKGB, was involved in the rehabilitation of victims of Stalinism in Poltava and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Participant in the petition campaign around the "trial of four" (1968). Group member Yu.L. Gendler and L.B. Kvachevsky in Leningrad. He was persecuted: expelled from the CPSU (he announced his resignation on April 30, 1965) and dismissed from the prosecutor’s office (for disagreement with criticism of E. A. Yevtushenko’s poem “Babi Yar” expressed by N. S. Khrushchev), expelled from the correspondence department of the Literary Institute ( 1968). Arrested at the Finlyansky Station on August 3, 1968 by the KGB in the Leningrad Region on charges of “anti-Soviet agitation.” Leningrad City Court under Art. 70 h 1, 05.11.1968 sent for compulsory treatment to a psychiatric hospital “until complete recovery.” He was kept in the Leningrad Special Psychiatric Hospital of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs from November 16, 1968. Released on August 14, 1970, as determined by the Leningrad City Court “at the end of compulsory treatment.” After his release, he moved to Odessa and worked as a laboratory technologist at the Avtogenmash plant.
