Genus. in 1935. In 1967 he graduated in absentia from the Faculty of History of the Chernivtsi University. He was a member of the CPSU, worked as the director of an eight-year school in his native village of Solukovo, Dolinsky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 1971, he was expelled from the CPSU and fired. From 1978 until his arrest, he worked as a minder in Turkmenistan. Participated in the reconstruction of the organization "Ukrainian National Front". Its members were engaged in the production and distribution of uncensored literature. An attempt was made to publish the journal "Ukrainian Bulletin" and the almanac "Insight" (two issues were published). Arrested on September 28, 1979 in Mary, Turkmen SSR. Charged under Art. 62 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR (= Art. 70 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR), Art. 64 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR ("Organizational activity ..., as well as participation in an anti-Soviet organization") and Art. 208 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR ("Involvement of minors in criminal activity"). Sentenced to 7 years in strict regime camps and 3 years in exile. He served his term in Mordovia. He was pardoned in 1987. He died on November 10, 2008 in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
