Genus. 11/15/1925, Moscow; Jew; higher education, graduated from the philological faculty of the Moscow Regional Pedagogical Institute; poet-translator, writer, published in print as a poet-translator. Arrested on September 12, 1965 (together with a friend, Andrei Sinyavsky: “Sinyavsky-Daniel trial”). Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the RSFSR on February 14, 1966 under Art. 70 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR for 5 years of penal colony. He served his sentence in Dubravlaga and Vladimir prison.
